Get into Whitsunday holiday mode with an Airlie Beach Sunset Cruise on Sundowner
Unwind in the ambiance of a Whitsunday sunset, as you see in the evening from dusk to dark. Watch the lights of Airlie Beach while enjoying your favourite tipple from our fully licensed bar. Sundowner Cruises offers a relaxing social atmosphere for connecting with new friends and sharing experiences.
Sundowner is a fully covered, purpose built catamaran designed for socialising – a floating bar. Unlike a yacht, we have a flat surface and no trip hazards. There is ample room to move, and high heels are welcome.
A glass of sparkling or soft drink is included in your sunset cruise ticket price, and the bar is open throughout the cruise for you to purchase further drinks. Cash or card welcome. Sorry, no BYO.
Sundowner departs from Coral Sea Marina, North Village, which is only a short walk from the main street of Airlie Beach. Coral Sea Marina is a vibrant award winning marina which includes the Garden Bar & Bistro with uninterrupted views across the marina and Sorrento’s Restaurant & Bar located alongside the boardwalk in the North Village.
We circumnavigate Pioneer Bay and as we have very little draft we are able are able to get up close and personal to the many points of interest along the Airlie Beach coastline, and enjoy a bit of turtle spotting in Turtle Bay. After the sun sets, enjoy the lights of Airlie Beach at night, while we slowly make our way back to port.
Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday islands provide the perfect backdrop for our sunset cruises, as well as our other cruises including afternoon cruises twice weekly, private charters for birthdays, corporate groups, weddings or any celebration.
Sunset Cruises Tuesday to Sunday evening
- 4.30pm – 6.30pm April – July
- 5.00pm – 7.00pm August – October
- 5.15pm – 7.15pm November – March
Sunset Cruise prices:
- $65.00 per adult and includes a glass of sparkling for the adults and nibbles.
- $45.00 per child: Age 3 to 17 and includes a glass of soft/juice and nibbles.
- Children 2 and under are free.
Our nibbles consist of a simple antipasto platter and dip. We recommend you make a reservation for dinner after the cruise.

Reef Festival
Fireworks Cruise
Join us on Friday 6th August for a special nighttime cruise to enjoy the Great Barrier Reef Festival fireworks.
We’ll be cruising from 7.30-9.30pm to watch the 8.00pm fireworks from the best vantage point in town: on the water, with easy access to the bar.
Your ticket includes a glass of sparkling on arrival, and a shared nibbles plater. The bar will be open to purchase further drinks if you wish, and we’ll crank up the party music to get everybody dancing and enjoying themselves.

It’s Great Barrier Reef Festival time!
Supported by our friends at Anything Environmental, the 2021 Anything Environmental Recyclable Regatta will be awesome fun for competitors and spectators alike.
